I don’t know when I realized we lived in a universe that is incomprehensibly big. Maybe, I stumbled upon that concept as I flipped the glossy pages of an encyclopedia that I had chosen as my companion for that day. My tiny fingers tracing the outline of a satellite or the rings of Saturn. I’ve always been fascinated with the idea of knowledge. No matter how much I learn throughout the years, there’s always something more lurking right beyond my reach. The past, the present, the future. So much to know and understand, stretching out to infinity in all the directions.
This is why I want to spend my entire life trying to understand the place we live in a little better. I’m hoping to become a scientist. Right now, I’m learning all the three sciences: biology, chemistry and physics, along with math. I’ve also taken up robotics classes and studied computer science until my 10th grade. I’ve never been able to pick just one thing to be passionate about, so I actually took up more subjects like environmental management as a self-study since they weren’t offered at my school. I’m also doing an online astronomy course right now. I’m trying to branch out and learn more before I decide what exactly to major in. I want to be a lifelong student of the universe.
